Going to the Outlet is not as glamorous as going to AGP but it has one big advantage - BARGAINS!
I found retired things at that warehouse sale that I had forgotten to buy like the AGOT Valentine's Day Outfit and the Bitty Baby Valentine's Day Sweetheart set. Also, the tax is only 5% which is cheaper than Illinois and of course, no shipping. I am always trying to talk my DH into taking wierd routes so we have to stop in the Outlet.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I could have smacked myself for getting married during first crop! <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Boy can I relate! We got married on the opening day of bow hunting-not very smart. My DH is still giving me a hard time about it, and as I remember it, he picked the date! It's hard in Wi to plan a wedding, when you only have a few really nice months a year.

We will for sure be going to the warehouse sale again this year. You should really plan to come then-much better bargains than they normally have in the outlet. I also think you should stop in on the way to Door Co. We've gone there several times and really like it, but we've always taken the kids. There is a bed and breakfast in Sturgeon Bay called the White Lace Inn that I've always wanted to stay at, but B&Bs aren't really my husband's kind of thing. It looks very romantic-maybe you can talk your husband into it.

I already tried the B&B idea...and it was a no go. He'll follow me into antique stores, and things like that...but no B&B's, or AG Place. Well...he would do both if I really made an issue of it, but I don't want to. I also know he's just waiting for me to say, " Oh honey...let's just take the boat and a tent, and fish for a few days!"

Oh...I gave birth to my first child during March Madness. I remember the doc attending me, then turning to look at the t.v. at the same time. I remember being in the middle of a contraction, the doc at one end of the bed, DH at the other, and both of them in rapture over whatever game they were watching. I remember thinking I should do something about the two of them, but for some reason, I was too busy.

I got smart and had my second child the week before deer hunting opening weekend!

Oh, Jenny! Don't tell me you have to spend your 20th wedding anniverary trip in a tent? I have camped in Pennisula State Park and it is beautiful, but I don't think I could do it anymore due to the shower situation. I don't like public showers with frogs and spiders. [img]eek.gif[/img]

LOL-I think our husbands are a lot alike-must be a Wi thing. Our honeymoon is the only vacation we have been on (other than Las Vegas) that he didn't bring a fishing pole along! We went to the ocean on our honeymoon and it just about killed him. I have a picture of him standing in the water-he had sharpened a stick and was trying to stab fish as they swam past. Even if your husband won't go along with a B&B, I would hold out for someplace with sheets and indoor plumbing.

hehe...we won't be camping. I just think if I offered to make this a fishing trip, he'd be in heaven! I don't think he'd really want to sleep in a tent, though. I do know that if I suggested we bring the boat, and fish all weekend, he'd pass out.

We used to camp on all of our family vacations. We had our own camper, but it didn't have a shower. And let me tell you....I HATE public showers! But my family loves camping, so I just went along with it. Lately, though, we haven't been on anything longer than a few days, so we stay in hotels.
